Not an "Alay"

I  want to write after it so hard to convince them that Bigbang is not just an “alay”.

I actually fell in love with them because of their looks at first. But day by day, it becomes more than just that. Their music proves everything.

Back then, when I was asked why I chose Bigbang, I would answer that I like them inadvertently. It was because two of my best friends suddenly came to my boarding house. Chatting with each other about that da*n  Korean things and watching some music videos.

At first, there was nothing. But then, one of the music videos they called Beautiful Hangover like hitting my head. And it was only because of a simple thing. Just because the eyes of one of them looks like someone I know. Only that. And I fell in love. am I even sane?

Watching one after another of their music videos, listening to their mp3, watching their concert videos. And not too long, I completely sucked in this fu***ng black hole. I’m sorry for my bad mouth, because that’s actually what I felt at that time. Why I call it black hole? Because it’s like a really dark world that I never wanted and never even imagined would be in it. I weren’t too fond of Korean. And I really really hate Boyband. Very. That time. I think my friends still remember my bored face when they talk about this 'unfamiliar world' in my room.

But… now…

If someone ask me why I chose Bigbang, perhaps one of my answers is “because it’s very difficult to find a singer with more than a hundred songs that are all so addictive in my ears. And I found it in Bigbang”

Probably one of the things that makes other people hard to accept them is the genre. Although there are a few of their songs that have pop genre, but most is hip hop. I didn’t even realize that I love this kind of music before I know them. Fast beat, dancing rhythm, rap, bad boy style, etc.

 I fell in love with them when their new album titled Alive recently launched in 2012. Marvellous. And then look at their previous albums. Amazing. And then always follow their next album until now, none of them let me down. Not at all. Even their solo always make my day.

I never regret having loved them. Never, even once. Having a partner in crime to get through (someone who I would scold if she even had any intention to leave me after made me drown this deep), going watch their concerts, buying their merchandise. Haha… sounds like fanatic female fan’s  activity, right? But yes it is. One of the best group that has been acknowledged worldwide.

Their style is a bit extreme now. I even found it a little awkward. But I guess all of it is forgiven by their music. It doesn’t matter as long as they’re good. And I think they will always be good :p

Their songs do not just talk about love. Some talk about friendship, youth, self-respect, slander, arrogance, gossip, popularity, having fun, etc.

This is all my own opinion. I chose their music. Not only because of their appearance, or even just because affected by hallyu wave virus.
